It is a given as a journalist that at some point, your work will be plagiarised.
For example, I’ve seen my match reports copied and pasted in various places around the web and while I won’t name names here, they stretch from Kenya to Jamaica.
I’ve also been insulted by people defending their actions.
Now, a lot more of us experience the same thing on Twitter. How difficult is it to simply retweet something that you like, or use H/T or some other abbreviation to credit the original source?
Why do people do things like this and just pass on your tweets as their own? Are people just lazy or can people not bear for others to get the credit for something they maybe think they would have thought of themselves?
Anyway, blocked now and moved on. It wasn’t even that good a tweet.
