Today was more about promotion and marketing than writing. Having decided to put my e-books on the KDP Select Programme, it was time to tell the world.
Emailing all of my contacts provoked some interest, as did posting out to Facebook and Twitter. Queries, and promises of reading it later followed, then my first review – a lifelong friend only giving me a four-star rating because he knew me.
I was particularly pleased with reaching the top 2,000 for free Kindle ebooks and hopefully as things gather momentum overnight, who knows, I might find myself right up there. I don’t want to get too carried away and certainly don’t think that I have in any way ‘cracked’ the market or arrived at my final destination.
The actual sales figures aren’t that high, but when you are used to the odd one here and there, it’s quite heartening to see them ticking over.
